Okay first off: sorry! I’ve been drowning in shifts so i’ve barely had time to think let alone blog or even instagram much 😭 I haven’t been wearing a lot of new makeup this month just because I want to just get something on my face for work then get out the door, but I have found some gems so I wanted to include good old favourites and some new loves 💕
Garnier Oil-Infused Micellar water is I think a new product, (?) at least it’s new at my store, that I love! I usually use an oil based makeup remover, another one by Garnier, then use their original micellar water to remove all the excess oil but this just combines the two and makes things so much quicker and simpler! It removes waterproof mascara and matte liquid lipsticks, which I find the regular micellar water doesn’t do as well as this does, so it’s definitely a new favourite of mine!
B sponges (I could only find the pink one online 😕) I’ve never tried the beauty blender, but I’ve tried the real techniques sponges (am I crazy or did they change them???) so I can’t compare them to the BB unfortunately, but I do personally prefer them to the real techniques sponges, at least the new ones anyway. I needed to grab a new sponge but the RT one was sold out so I grabbed the pink B sponge instead on a whim and it’s actually so amazing! It’s super soft and “bouncy”, and if you’ve tried other BB dupes then you may know so of them can be super hard or not expand much when damp so it’s kinda painful to use, but this one is really comfortable to use. The only downside is that when you wash them the colour drains.
L’oreal Cushion Foundation I’ll be honest, I didn’t have much interest in this when it first came out because I assumed it wouldn’t be my shade and I didn’t want to pay £15 to be disappointed, but I managed to get it ridiculously cheap with my discount as a special offer, whoooo! I really love this foundation mainly because it’s so quick and simple to use, I can just throw it on when i’m in a rush without worrying as it looks natural but still gives good coverage, plus you don’t have to worry about brushes!
B Sweet Popping Candy highlighting serum unfortunately i’m pretty sure this is being discontinued so I won’t go on too much about it but I grabbed it because it was on sale and it’s so cute! It comes out as a kind of gloop with the ‘pearls’ and you have to mix it together to get the glow going. I use it as a base, mix it with my foundation and tap it on my cheekbones for an extra highlight.
Mary-Lou Manizer a good ol’ classic favourite! It’s been my go to on busy days for a subtle everyday highlight for work or just day to day. I might do a separate post just on my favourite highlighters/good for pale skin highlighters so I won’t go on too much about it here!
Barry M Strobe Creams (bronze) & (pink) sooooo pretty! 😭 I really like cream products right now so I was really excited when I saw these and they’re so lovely! I just pat them on with my fingers or swipe them on then blend them a little with either my fingers or a sponge! Again i’ll probably put these in a separate post!
Gosh Giant blush shade 2 “shy” i’m not a blush girl, not sure why i’ve just never worn them, I think it’s because my face can get really pink and I have slight redness on my cheeks so I didn’t want blush to bring it out but I gave this a shot since it’s a cream formula. I just swipe it on and blend it out (it turns to powder by the way) and it looks really natural and the colour is really nice!
Freedom Brow Pomade in blonde I recently lightened my brows to match my hair more and to soften them up a little so I gave this shade a go hoping that it would match and it’s a perfect ashy blonde shade! It compares really well to the Anastasia Dipbrow but less than half the price! It lasts on my brows just as long as the dipbrow does and it’s just as smooth and easy to use.
Eylure 157 lashes I get asked quite a bit on instagram what lashes I use most of the time, and it’s these! They look pretty huge and terrifying at first glance but they’re so comfortable and easy to put on (like really I can just pop them on super quick) and they just make any look pop. Like if you finish your makeup and it’s just kinda “meh” then grab some lashes and boom. You’re welcome 😉
Sleek Power Plump lip crayons These are pretty weird, not gonna lie, they feel tingly, but I like them! I guess they’re kinda like marmite, you either love the feeling or hate it so it’s personal preference. The colours I got are really pretty and good for just throwing on quickly!
Maybelline 24hr lipstick I don’t know why I never tried these before… I grabbed a couple and fell in love! They last for ages! 😯 Anyway they’re not exactly new so I won’t go on about them much but Soft Taupe and Creme Caramel are my go-to’s!
Hope ya’ll enjoyed reading! Hopefully i’ll be posting more soon! (I say that every time I know) 💖 Have a lovely week! byeeeeeeeee!
